Biography
Alexandre Tannous is an ethnomusicologist, sound therapist, and sound researcher with four degrees in music and extensive experience as a performer, composer, conductor, educator, and lecturer. For more than 26 years, he has investigated the therapeutic and esoteric properties of sound through Western scientific, Eastern philosophical, and shamanic perspectives, exploring the intersection of art, science, philosophy, and spirituality.
His multidisciplinary research draws on fieldwork in more than 40 countries, scientific studies, personal experience, and data gathered from thousands of participants in his sound therapy work. These findings led him to develop Sound Meditation, an integrated practice designed to deepen awareness and support inner transformation. Using overtone-rich instruments and a phenomenological approach, Alexandre guides participants in attentive listening while offering practical tools for self-observation and self-inquiry. His work explores how sound can interrupt habitual patterns, heighten self-awareness, and help individuals connect more deeply with their inner resources and higher self.
