Joshua Bloom MDS Sahara Desert 250km Ultramarathon

Joshua Bloom, a native of Hackney, London, born to a Filipino mother and Jewish father, has a diverse background that blends a love for nature with a deep interest in microbiology and genetics. After university, he dedicated two years to working at a drug and alcohol rehab clinic in Camden, which he describes as a profound learning experience. This period sparked his interest in the potential of psychedelics for treating addiction and PTSD. Transitioning into freelance photography, Joshua explored different cultures and landscapes, deepening his curiosity about consciousness through personal experiences. He holds a master’s degree in neuroscience and psychology, emphasizing the value of firsthand experience. Currently residing in Switzerland, he balances a career in IT with collaborating with organizations focused on nature and well-being. Joshua is the founder of “Reality in Bloom,” a platform delving into topics like nature, consciousness, and psychedelics. An avid marathon runner, he is preparing for the Marathon Des Sables, a challenging 250km race through the Sahara Desert, showcasing his commitment to health and personal challenges.
