Laurel Anne Sugden is a Ph.D. candidate in Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of British Columbia, with a background in Molecular Biology. Growing up in rural Montana, she developed a strong connection to the Rocky Mountains and is currently researching the cultural and ecological significance of the San Pedro Cactus (Huachuma) in the Andes, highlighting its declining wild populations in Peru.
