Biography
Alexandre Tannous is an ethnomusicologist, sound therapist, researcher, and educator whose
work examines the therapeutic and esoteric dimensions of sound. With four degrees in music and
a background as a performer, composer, conductor, lecturer, and educator, he has spent more than
26 years investigating sound through Western scientific, Eastern philosophical, and shamanic
traditions.
His multidisciplinary research integrates fieldwork conducted in more than 40 countries,
scientific literature, contemplative inquiry, personal experience, and observations gathered from
thousands of participants. This work led to the development of Sound Meditation, an integrated
practice that uses overtone-rich instruments, focused listening, and phenomenological inquiry to
cultivate heightened awareness and facilitate inner transformation. His work explores sound’s
capacity to interrupt habitual patterns of perception, deepen self-observation, and support greater access to one’s inner resources and higher self. Alexandre is the founder of the ResonantMind Collective.
